Drawing/Painting projects:35%
(fullfilling the requirments of the project, risk taking, elements and principles of art in project, craftspersonship,focus and homework spent on project)
written essays/quizzes/sketchbooks25%:
(completing assignments, following directions with check system risk taking)
Sketchbook:
Check plus: sketch was done properly and shows student going beyond fulfilling the assignment ( 10 points)
Check: student completed the assignment properly and shows good investigation) ( 5 points)
Check minus: sketch is done but rushed and with more work it would be very good. ( 2.5 points)
zero points: Student did not turn in the assignment
Sketchbook assignments can be resubmitted on a case by case basis.
Class membership: 25%
class preparedness, individual focus,studio clean up:
Critique particpation 15%
critique preparation and articulation of comments during critiques

RESUBMIT POLICY FOR DRAW PAINT STUDENTS
You can resubmit any sketchbook or drawing assignment for a better grade if:
1. Your drawing was turned in by the original due date and received a grade
2. The new work submitted is corrected and shows technical improvement of the project.
How to resubmit: Turn in sketchbook and on a post it note, write resubmit, stick the post it note on the drawing to be resubmitted. Resubmit work due dates are due the day before: mid quarter1, quarter1, Semester 1, midquarter 2, quarter 2 and Semester due
Resubmits will not be accepted for unexcused late work.
