As per the handout, do a full page drawing of a tool. Include shading and incorporate your response to the Jim Dine's thoughts on drawing. Give your subject superstar power. Don't forget to think about negative space.

advanced drawing: Weekend homework due Feb 4th
On top of one of your altered sketchbook pages, Create a drawing of a small group of people. Utilize your skills in design to emphasize the negative space between them. Be creative when dealing with line and shape. Draw from life. You can fill a whole page or overlap two facing pages

Intermediate Weekend Homework Due: Feb 4th
Complete a drawing over one of your altered sketchbook pages of a person’s head and face ( some one else's or your own) that convey's a human emotion such as sadness, anger, worry, happiness, or sillyness. If possible, work from a life.
First use a pencil to make a general drawing. Note the shapes and planes of the face and how they fit together. Then continue over the drawing with a darker media. Utilize stronger contrasting lines to greatly exaggerate the areas you want to emphasize. Plan on spending an hour or more to complete this drawing.
