In your SKETCHBOOK, FULL PAGE, do your best drawing representing a favorite childhood toy. Set up a light source so it is directed onto your subject ( you should see a cast shadow on the surface that your subject is sitting on). Using a 4B pencil draw the object with the goal to make it look three dimensional.
Remember no more tear outs! Your drawings need to be in the sketchbok.
Due January 22nd, beginning of class.

Gallery Report ALL Draw Paint Classes
Requirements for Gallery Reports ( 1 each semester) :
Each report must be 1-2 page typed pages, double space, 10 point font HANDWRITTEN PAPERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
Describe the work in the gallery and write your own reaction to it. Include language that describes the work: using the elements and principles of art and design ( line, shape, form, value, color, pattern, movement, balance, emphasis, texture, etc.) Use adjectives!!! Craft the paper as an English class essay ( make it a BS free zone).
IMPORTANT!!! Include any promotional material from the show you are reviewing – postcards, etc. ( if you don't have this stuff you will not receive full credit for the paper).

Exercise 15: Drawing of a chair. NO TRACING! I want to see your process. Follow instructions, however, you do not need to tone the background with graphite, Just make sure you create a distinction between positive image ( chair) negative space ( background). If you have questions, email me.

Drawing of a flower or plant in line Include stems, leaves, etc. Drawing should fill page. Read exercise 11 in Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workbook. You will need your plastic picture plane ONLY Drawings that show the set up and use of the plastic picture plane will receive full credit. Due November 5th.
